What started as a conversation between two former junior high school classmates on a downtown Tulsa sidewalk has evolved in the more then 50 years since to QuikTrip, a socially responsible (the company donates 5% of its annual net profit to qualified 501(c)3 agencies) c-store chain that was selected as the 34th best company to work for by Fortune this year.
It’s not the first time QuikTrip was named as one of the best, however. This year marks its ninth consecutive term on the list. “QuikTrip is honored to receive such prestigious recognition as one of the best companies to work for,” said Chet Cadieux, president and CEO of QuikTrip.
“As our country continues to experience turbulent economic conditions, QuikTrip has stayed true to our culture and core values. The end result has produced tremendous store growth, which has allowed us to hire hundreds of new employees as well as give existing employees the opportunity to move up with the company.”
