Indeed, throughout its history, the company has donated to programs supporting families, youth, education, and physical activity. Company materials state that Modell’s views each customer as a neighbor and strives to improve the quality of life for its communities, get kids more physically active, and have a real, positive, and measurable impact on those it serves through its retail presence.
In 1997, the company established the Team Weeks program as an official way to give back to its communities and has since donated more than $1 million toward helping organizations support their individual causes such as buying new uniforms, building new fields, and minimizing registration and permitting costs.
