Danny’s Family Car Wash goes far beyond its name in the services it offers to customers. The company, established in 1984 as a single location offering only car washing, today has evolved to become a one-stop shop for auto care and more.
The business’ 13 full-service locations in Gilbert, Tempe, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Peoria, Ariz., offer automatic full-service, hand wash and express wash options. Danny’s washing process uses only soft cloths and no brushes and harsh chemicals. Danny’s cleaning services don’t stop at the outside of the vehicle, because it also offers interior services including seat cleaning; carpet and mat cleaning; door, dash and console cleaning; new carpets, mats and seats; and odor removal, the company says.
Other car care services include oil changes, transmission and coolant flushes and fuel injection system cleaning. “Having an oil change is one of the best things to do to keep your car operating properly,” the company says. “Danny’s Quick Lube centers offer a variety of services for your vehicle, and our trained technicians provide warranty-approved services with no appointment required.”
All oil changes are accompanied by a complementary 18-point vehicle inspection that includes checking power steering and battery fluids, topping off radiator fluid, checking transmission fluid level and condition, visually inspecting lights and hoses and filling tires. Danny’s regularly offers package specials and coupons on car care services, the company says.
Detailing, glass repair and replacement, dent repair and window tinting services are also available.
In addition to its car care offerings, Danny’s offers motorists food, snacks and Shell fuel through its convenience stores, dubbed Danny’s Family Gourmet Markets. “Danny’s Family Gourmet Markets offer our customers a larger variety of quality products they won’t find in any other convenience store in the region,” the company says.
Products offered in the markets include a selection of ready-made meals and a variety of beer and wine. Food is one of the company’s biggest growth areas in recent years, and one of the ways in which it has been able to succeed in a highly competitive market, the company adds.
Danny’s offers incentives to regular customers in the form of coupons and loyalty programs. Danny’s “Loyalty Club” memberships offer $3 off every full-service car wash per vehicle registered in the program. There is no limit to how many vehicles can be registered per owner, the company says.
Motorists can also save up to 10 cents per gallon at the pump with the purchase of a car wash, and can earn free full-service washes by filling up with more than nine gallons of gas over the course of ten visits, the company says.
Repeat business is also encouraged through “Danny’s Coffee Club” punch cards, which offer free cups of coffee for every five purchased.
Regular discounts are also offered to senior citizens, policemen and the military as part of the company’s community outreach. “For 25 years, Danny’s Family Car Wash has understood the importance of supporting the community we live in,” the company says.
Danny’s regularly works with local schools and organizations on custom fundraising programs by offering them the chance to purchase products and offers at a deeply discounted rate. These products can then be resold at a profit, the company says.
The company also regularly contributes raffle and silent auction items as well as gift bags to events sponsored by nonprofit organizations and schools. “Danny’s Family Car Wash believes we are only as strong as the community we live in,” the company adds.
