G&W is a 35-year old New York-based apparel company specializing in manufacturing of licensed, branded and private-label apparel. The launch in apparel further expands The World of Eric Carle in infant and toddler. The World of Eric Carle currently has a multi-category program of toys, games, and gift at mid-tier department and specialty stores and just recently announced renewals with long time partners, Kids Preferred and University Games and new program partners for 2013.

The launch of apparel in the US follows the international success of apparel programs in Australia and the UK. The new apparel collection will use Carle’s vibrant artwork to create on trend collections for newborn, infant and toddler. Sizes will range from newborn to 4T and include layettes, playwear, active wear, swimwear and more.

The apparel line will include a wide variety of fabrications, using screen prints, heat transfers, roller printing, flocking, embroideries, patches, appliqués and other enhancements that are sure to make The Very Hungry Caterpillar and friends come to life. Newborn and infant apparel and accessories consisting of knits, plush, fleece and velour will launch in Fall 2013. Toddler apparel will be added to the collection in 2014.
