LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: May 7, 2019 – Green Gold Animation announced today the successful launch of Mighty Little Bheem, a breakthrough, 3D-animated series now streaming on Netflix. This is the first story-telling animated, preschool adventure to be released on Netflix based on life in India and the adventures of Bheem, a toddler who has super-power strength and a super-sized appetite to go with it.

Innocent and engaging, Bheem goes through many a misadventure trying to satisfy his curious mind and his insatiable appetite. Strong, brave and fearless, Mighty Little Bheem is also kind and compassionate. Mighty Little Bheem from Netflix and Green Gold

This non-verbal, slapstick series is the first preschool series spinoff of the popular Chhota Bheem, an established franchise in India. Both shows are now being streamed on Netflix in over 190 countries.

The preschool years are a critical time to break down cultural barriers and build a path to understanding new cultures. Exposure to these differences is a foundation for developing character, social skills and critical thinking, and for helping kids become respectful and appreciative of cultural differences. The success of content development leaders in the kids’ category, producing entertainment like Coco, Dora The Explorer, Moana, and Fresh Off The Boat, has proven that audiences respond to irresistible storytelling and characters to which they can relate, regardless of cultural affinities or country of origin.

Kids and families across the globe have said "yes" to Mighty Little Bheemin a big way. Over 2.5 million viewers watched the trailer within the first 48 hours of its posting on the Netflix Kids and Family YouTube channel – a number that surpassed the 7.5 MM mark in four weeks. Of the 190 countries that launched Mighty Little Bheem, the response has been especially significant in geographies including the U.S., Latin America, UK, Australia, Canada and India.

Created by Rajiv Chilaka, founder of Green Gold Animation, and based on the mythological character Bheem from the Indian epic The Mahabharata, the Chhota Bheemaction comedy animated series has aired on Turner Broadcasting’s Pogo TV channel since 2008.  The franchise has given birth to several TV films and three feature films, and is the inspiration for Mighty Little Bheem. The studio’s first 3D feature film, Kung Fu Dhamaka, inspired by the Bheem character is being released in India on May 10.

“We are thrilled to introduce Mighty Little Bheem to young audiences around the world. This is an incredible opportunity to bring best-in-class storytelling to children everywhere,” said Green Gold Animation founder Rajiv Chilaka. “Although we did not start out making a children’s series that breaks down cultural barriers, it appears that our adorable, mischievous Bheem has done just that,” Chilaka added.
